Industrial Wind Turbines
in Posey and Gibson
County concern us all.

Our goal is to inform our neighbors and fellow county residents about the issues of

Safety, Property Rights, Health, and Property Values regarding industrial wind turbines in Posey County.

Trespass Zoning

Violating the property rights of our neighbors is one of the many concerns we have of the industrial wind turbine project proposal as it’s currently written for Posey and Gibson County

wind turbines and their effects on the radar

(The proposed project is within 10 miles of the Doppler)

Within 18 km [11.1mi] wind turbines cause additional impacts including: clutter on multiple elevation scans, multipath clutter down range of the wind turbines, and greater impacts to radar algorithms. Multipath scattering from wind turbines can extend the contaminated data up to 40 km beyond the wind farm. Turbines sited within 4 km [2.5mi] of the radar may also cause significant (>10%) attenuation/blockage of the radar beam impacting data throughout the entire range (460 km-reflectivity, 300 km-velocity) of the radar.
